Maps
You may start to notice a few maps appearing around the place...
I've started to add in geographic coordinates to the database so that I can use Google Maps on the site. To start with I have been adding in coordinates for stadiums, so that you can see a map for them.
I have defaulted it to show a hybrid map, that is a cross between a normal map and a satellite image. For example, take a look at Underhill, Field Mill or the Bescot Stadium. As Google do not yet have high-quality images for the whole of the UK however, there are cases where I have been forced to make the default image the standard map. An example is our very own London Road.
In the future I hope to be able to use maps that point out multiple locations: for example, a map that shows the birthplace of all the players used in a particular match. If you have any suggestions or comments, please get in contact and let me know.
