Chairman Darragh MacAnthony pays for 28 coaches to take Posh fans to Merseyside, a move which clearly pays dividends. Despite Shane Cansdell-Sherriff giving Tranmere Rovers the lead, Danny Crow scores a brace to put Peterborough into the third-round draw. The Evening Telegraph suggest that the eruption of noise from the Posh end which greeted the final whistle sounded like Keith Alexander's side had won the FA Cup itself. MacAnthony describes the victory as 'fantastic' and clearly enjoys the day out. "It was my first away game and I have a 100% record, so I am happy with that!"
