Keith Alexander takes Posh's spending up to £800,000 and promptly sets a new club record of 6 league defeats in a row. New signings Micah Hyde and George Boyd start the game brightly, then Adam Smith scores his first goal for the club. Posh surrender their lead, however, and Peterborough-born Julian Joachim scores his second brace of the season against his home-town club to end Darlington's own run of 8 defeats in a row. After the game Alexander insists that he has no fear of the sack, "Why should I be worried about my job? I've been here six months and even Sir Alex Ferguson couldn't turn Manchester Utd around in that time." He leaves the club on Monday afternoon.
