At last — the losing streak finally ends, with high-flying Swindon Town scraping a draw at London Road. After 25 minutes Posh begin to find their feet and start to dictate the play. An Elvis impersonator, performing at the Broadway, is the half-time entertainment. Posh's dominance finally pays off: after 71 minutes George Boyd sets up Peter Gain to put Darren Ferguson's team in front. Swindon's Blair Sturrock, son of manager Paul Sturrock, is brought on and the move quickly pays dividends, as he scores the equaliser 2 minutes later. Ferguson confesses, “My players are all gutted. But that's a good thing, as it shows how badly they wanted the win.”
