Posh, missing Aaron Mclean through injury, are only able to snatch a point against struggling Boston Utd. Steve Evans fields 4 loanees in his starting line-up, but is still only able to name 4 players on the bench. Following a dreadful first-half display, Posh are booed off at half-time. Matters fail to improve as Nathan Joynes takes advantage of a defensive mix-up on the hour mark. George Boyd comes off the bench and, after 8 minutes on the pitch, hits the back of the net with a 30-yard volley to scrape a point. Craig Morgan hits the bar from 30-yards in injury time, but the score remains level. “George is a special talent,” enthuses Ferguson. “But we need to get the ball to him more often for him to show his best.”
