Posh return to winning ways, grabbing a 2-0 victory at cash-strapped Accrington Stanley. Early in the match Aaron McLean is hacked down by Graham Branch, but fails to convert the penalty. Posh are unable to take the lead during the first half, with Kenny Arthur denying Jamie Day and George Boyd. Charlie Lee has the ball in the net following a cross from Craig Morgan, but is ruled off-side. He does, however, grab the first goal during the second half, before Stanley substitute Lee McEvilly is sent off for stamping on Day. Impressive débutante Claude Gnakpa is substituted as Posh look for a second goal, which comes after the home side are reduced to nine men. McLean finally finds the net in the 95th minute to break Terry Bly's long-standing record by scoring in seven consecutive league matches.
