Mark Tyler quickly has to make a smart save to deny Michael Boulding following a mistake from home débutante Kieran Charnock, but Posh's early pressure sees Josh Low grab the first goal after Aaron McLean heads Claude Gnakpa's cross across the face of the goal. McLean is shoved to the ground by Martin McIntosh, but is denied a penalty. After half-time John McAliskey is left unchallenged to head Matthew Hamshaw's cross past Tyler. McLean has chances to restore the lead, while McAliskey has the ball is the net, only to be ruled offside. Danny Crow is introduced and quickly scores the winner from Low's cross, but further chances are left untaken.
