Basic Information

Stadium London Road, Peterborough, England
Competition Football Combination (central and east division).

In the opening moments trialist Daniel Webb nearly connects to an in-swinging corner, before Dan Connor produces a superb save to deny Alan Young. Webb then forces Craig Farr to make a save of his own. Both sides have further chances, while Steve Laurie is taken off with a knee injury. In the second half Swindon Town take the lead, as Darren Dykes beats Connor at his near post. Webb heads Matthew Gill’s free-kick onto to the post soon after; a little later he gets the equaliser, following Jamie Day’s persistence on the left wing. The visitors take the lead again: Gill pushes Young in the box, who slots home the resulting penalty. Prevott then runs through unchallenged and extends the lead. Daniel French pulls one back in the dying moments, after Day’s cross takes a deflection off Kevin Halliday.
