Posh reserves lose their fifth game in a row against an experienced Norwich side. Oli Johnson’s early shot is blocked, then Josh Simpson opens the scoring by sending a low shot from the edge of the area past Declan Rudd. Zak Whitbread heads Anthony McNamee’s corner across the face of goal. Shortly after Sam Gaughran brings down Adam Drury in the area, and Paul McVeigh converts the penalty. The hosts take the lead soon into the second half: Johnson meets McNamee’s near post corner with a firm header and, having been flicked against the bar by George Francomb, the ball rebounds off James McKeown into the net. Norwich have further chances to extend their lead with Johnson and Stephen Hughes going close, then Jens Berthel Askou sends his header against the bar. Posh are unable to find an equaliser despite the lively efforts of Nathan Koranteng.
