Peterborough Utd Under-18s 2 Aldershot Town Under-18s 2

Basic Information

Date 27th March 2010.
Competition Under-18 Youth Alliance (south-east conference).

Posh field a young side ahead of Tuesday’s Youth Alliance Cup area final against Queens Park Rangers. Aldershot Town dominate the game from the outside: Henrik Breimyr has two early chances before Tom Allen forces a good save from Alex Archer then hits the post. The visitors’ pressure takes its toll as Adam Mekki is able to run the ball over the line after Archer is only able to parry Josh Pearson’s cross into his path. Posh surprisingly manage an equaliser in the second half, as Ian Couch flicks a cross over Jordan Clement. Aldershot restore their lead soon after, however, when Pearson curls the ball into the top corner following a wide pass from Breimyr. Posh manage to steal a point as Colby McAdams’s 25-yard effort sneaks in.
