Promotion-chasing Luton Town condemn Posh to their second relegation in four years in front of London Road’s biggest crowd of the season. Torrential downpours before kick-off make for a difficult first half, but Posh manage to carve several chances. Former loanee Ian Feuer is fortunate to scramble away a couple of scuffed shots from Miguel de Souza, before Steve Davis chests Roger Willis’s header off the line. Bart Griemink is largely untroubled during the first half, with only Graham Alexander going close. Lennie Lawrence changes his side at half time, and substitute Andrew Fotiadis scores within ten minutes. Mick Bodley had slipped, leaving David Oldfield free down the left wing to cross into the box. Heads visibly drop, and the Hatters show why they’ve only conceded one goal in eleven hours.
