Posh come from behind for the fourth home game in a row to hand Oldham their first league defeat of the season, and their first at London Road for 40 years. Lee Tomlin makes his first start for the home side, but it’s the visitors who dominate the early proceedings: Chris Taylor fires twice over the crossbar, before Ritchie Jones heads in from Paul Black’s cross. Taylor then heads in Kieran Lee’s pin-point cross from 6 yards. Before the break Chris Whelpdale comes close to connecting to Grant McCann’s corner, but it’s James Wesolowski who reduces the deficit, heading home Tommy Rowe’s cross. In the second half a mêlée ensues after a tackle by Tomlin; from the resulting throw Aaron Mclean levels the match with a glancing header. George Boyd then catches Lee in possession and fires the ball past Dean Brill. The win is secured as David Hibbert powerfully heads home his first for the club from McCann’s corner. In injury time, Reuben Hazell trips Boyd in the box, and McCann coolly makes it 5-2.
