St Neots is the closest thing Posh have to a pre-season friendly at home this summer, and the fans get good value for their money: 10 goals for £5. Joe Day denies Dan Jacob before David Ball hits the post, but it's Paul Taylor who grabs the first, having beaten his defender for pace. The game is nearly turned on its head when Chris Hope and Junior Konadu suddenly take the lead for the hosts, only for George Boyd to score a brace to restore proceedings before the break. Lee Tomlin increases the lead, and is then denied his second by Michael Duggan. At the other end Lewis Hilliard holds off Grant Basey and rounds Joe Day. Lee Frecklington grabs a quick double, before Nicky Ajose takes his first goal in Posh colours having cut in from the right. Konadu, having impressed in the middle of the park, is offered a trial at Posh after the game.
