With England playing Macedonia on the Saturday, Posh travelled to the National Hockey Stadium for a Friday night match with Tottenham Hotspur and Coventry City managers Martin Jol and Micky Adams in attendance. Keith Alexander kept the same squad that beat Stockport County last weekend, but, after an uneventful first-half and Jamie Day hobbling off injured early in the second, it took substitutes Mark Arber and Justin Richards to bag Posh's third straight away win, the latter finally netting his first goal for The Posh.
