Posh make a bright start in their final game of the season: Lee Tomlin bursts through in the opening minutes, only to drag his 25-yard shot wide. Paul Jones then has to deny Steven Davies twice. The Posh keeper is helpless, however, as Theo Robinson guides home Craig Bryson's effort. The home side are then denied a penalty as George Boyd brings down Nathan Tyson. In the second half both sides create chances: Bryson fires over from 25 yards, before Grant McCann and Craig Alcock have efforts saved by Adam Legzdins. Davies does manage to find the back of the Posh net from Robinson's cross, only to be ruled offside. Youngster Kgosi Ntlhe is booked immediately after coming on, matching his début last week. With the home side failing to double their lead David Ball comes on and produces a superb finish from a clever McCann pass. Boyd comes close to stealing the points in the closing moments, only for his effort to bounce back off the angle of post and crossbar.
