Darren Ferguson's men impress against a makeshift St Neots side under the new management of 2 former Posh youth coaches. The first half is reasonably even; the home side have the first good opportunity as Nathaniel Knight-Percival is adjudged to have committed a foul, only for Stefan Moore to chip the ball over the ball. Lee Frecklington then makes the home side pay, curling home from the edge of the area. After a change of lineup, the visitors start to dominate. Tyrone Barnett turns home Danny Swanson's cross, then Lawlor and Boyd combine to set up Barnett making it 3. Swanson hits the bar; Richens bursts into the box and powers home. In the closing moments Barnett scores a further brace, following crosses from Swanson and Boyd. The only sour note is Tommy Rowe breaking a collarbone.
